The Plastic Problem

THE DRACONIAN CULTURE OF PLASTIC USE

Keeping aside the fact that plastics are an incessant bane to the welfare of our environment, it is an obvious fact that the illogical dumping of plastics in the marine habitat is responsible for the murder of thousands not if millions of marine organisms. To make matters worse, plastics are designed to last anywhere from 20 to 500 years to decompose, depending on the material and structure integrating with our ecosystem. Not only is this horrifically an act of injustice against the marine denizens, but it also has detrimental consequences on our planet as a whole.

THE SAGA OF AN ERODING INTERCONNECTION

Each species is interconnected and plays a pivotal role in the maintenance of our ecosystem and atmosphere. For example, whales and dolphins fertilise phytoplankton, which absorbs carbon dioxide (four times as much as Amazon Rainforest) and they also regulate the physiological and biological aspects of the sea. Removing any of these key members of our ocean would have a detrimental impact on the planet as a whole.

THE SOLUTION: OUR COMPOSTABLE PLASTIC

We at BeeHappy, using our technological expertise, have developed an environmentally conscious alternative to conventional plastic. Our compostable plastics can be discarded safely after use and these discarded plastics can be easily broken down by microbes into harmless particles. We have invested in time to make countless prototypes to ensure the right fit and rigidity. That being said, our products are 100 per cent compostable in nature, as issued by CIPET, Chennai and are IS/ISO17088 certified.
